Key job responsibilities:-
- Dive Deep into customer issues, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems across various data/dataset requests
- Provide support and resolve the incoming ticket requests from WW users, including extensive troubleshooting data requests.
- Ensure compliance per the data policies and security controls
- Redshift cluster health maintenance
- Develop runbooks, or build tools, used by our team or other Support Engineers or our customers, to aid operations and maintenance
- Identify customer pain points, raising concerns with engineering, to implement support improvement opportunities
- Track/follow-up project requests with users, engineering teams to closure
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an analytical area such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar.
- 5+ years of development or technical support experience.
- Strong understanding of support processes – SLA, handling tickets, monitoring, processes and metrics. Ability to handle high impact incidents, perform root cause analysis and drive to logical closure.
- Experience in Perl/Python/shell scripts and building QuickSight dashboards
- Experience working with Redshift and ETL, and ability to write advance SQL queries
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years Professional experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence
- 2+ years in with Advanced SQL (analytical functions), ETL, Data Warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments and performance tuning
- Advanced data analysis skills
- Experience in development (as a developer) would be a plus
