About the Enterprise Data Services Team:

The Enterprise Data Services organization in Business Technology takes pride in enabling data driven business outcomes to spearhead Workday’s growth through trusted data excellence, innovation and architecture thought leadership. The team is responsible for developing and supporting Data Services, Data Warehouse, Analytics, MDM, Data Quality and Advanced Analytics/ML for multiple business functions including Sales, Marketing, Services, Support and Customer Experience. We leverage leading modern cloud platforms like AWS, Reltio, Tableau, Snaplogic, MongoDB in addition to the native AWS technologies like Spark, Airflow, Redshift, Sagemaker and Kafka

About the Role

• Strong SQL skills, capable of complex, efficient, and maintainable SQL to accomplish data analysis goals.
• Work closely with Data Ops and Technical Teams to create/maintain product backlog
• Analyze/profile source data, assess data quality completeness and prepare Data Profiling reports
• Analyze MDM match results, provide inputs for further refinements and report match rule performance
• Investigate the data and build reporting solutions. Conduct end-to-end analyses to drive insights.
• Maintain in-depth understanding of business functions, processes, and relationships as it relates to data
• Able to showcase logical and analytical thinking to solve problems.

• About You

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S., M.S. in Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related area
• 6+ years of related and progressive experience in Data Analytics, Data Management
• Expert analytic skill in data forensics and analysis to identify data patterns and root causes of data issues
• Expert skills with various analytics/query/ BI tools such as Alteryx, SQL workbench, Tableau, etc.
• Experience with enterprise source systems and of systems that consume master and reference data, including CRM, ERP and Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence (i.e. Salesforce, Workday, etc)
• Knowledge of master data initiatives and core data management strategies and best practices
• Outstanding business engagement and communications skill to influence stakeholders in business decision making
• Excellent problem-solving skills involving complex and ambiguous issues
• Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of executing on multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment working with cross functional teams
• Self-motivated team player with clear and effective communications skills; solid time management & organization skills; ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities.
• Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance and instruction to users.
