We are looking for an experienced Python Automation Engineer to design and implement automation to streamline IT, development and Operational processes at Pierian. The ideal candidate must be able to identify problems, provide solutions, and assist in implementation. You must be analytical, self-driven, ready to operate in a fast-paced environment, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will tackle a broad range of Automation efforts for Pierian DevOps and IT workflows.

• As a Python backend engineer, you will be responsible for implementing web services, libraries, and tools in Python, to automate existing manual DevOps and IT Workflows.
• Work closely with DevOps team Leads and users to develop automation that enable Self Service options for frequently used processes.
• Collaborate with functional teams to develop CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Consider non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, resiliency, and performance in all solution design
• Participate in all stages of the solution to include design, implementation, operations and improvement cycles.

Required Experience and Skills

• Expertise with developing in Python, debugging, and Unit Testing.
• Expertise in Shell Scripting, SQL and NoSQL , Linux OS.
• Working Knowledge of Jira, GIT or similar code repository.
• Experience in analyzing, implementing, and integrating Rest API solutions.
• One year minimum experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes
• Experience developing automated JIRA workflow (post script actions that triggers Jenkins Jobs) will be a plus.
