THE ROLE

Join our early-stage start-up, as our Product Data Analyst to drive customer success through a new category-creating and ground-breaking product in the Insights space. The ideal candidate is a passionate, yet pragmatic thinker and maker that can think broadly across platforms and domains, but then dive deep into the details. You love solving problems with data. You should be passionate about working strategically with Product Managers. P&L Leaders, Customer Experience Leaders, and other senior executives to create and deliver big, visionary, and customer-focused experiences.

As a member of the v1.0 launch team, you will shape this entire product from scratch backed by a strong product aesthetic. This is as “early ideation and creation phase” of a start-up as it gets – as autonomous as it gets – as FUN as it gets – if you thrive on the energy of creating something out of nothing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be hands-on with describing business rules as technical artifacts for analysts, business product managers, and any functional team that depends on data, information, insights.
• Be comfortable looking at system logs when needed and identifying bugs when they might appear during the course of analysis.
• Work with technical product managers and business product managers to understand the requirements and receive technical specifications.
• Analyze technical specifications and create user stories for product engineering and test engineering teams.
• Maintain the metrics for the product/capabilities.
• Own the design, validation, and delivery of specific high-impact, high-risk items in the roadmap - along with Technical Architects/Engineers.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

• Work towards defining and tracking key product metrics for showcasing the impact of delivered features.
• Keep track of new ideas or emerging requests from customers, continuously prioritize and partner with the product team to ensure they are incorporated as part of the product roadmap.
• Partner with Client facing teams to onboard new customers through seamless experience, take ownership for implementing use cases and demonstrating the value of the product and evangelize features of the product.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4 or more years of work experience or more than 3 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA).
• Prior experience as a software engineer, business analyst, product manager, or system analyst is required.
• Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills through prior projects.
• Using tools such as SQL on large datasets, Python, Google Sheets, Excel. Experience in working with advanced analytics tools would be welcome.
• Be efficient in creating dashboards using either Google Data Studio, Excel, Power BI etc using the data from disparate sources.
• Basic understanding or interest in REST or other API technologies is required.
• Passion for AI, machine learning technologies and enthusiasm for how they are changing the world
• Motivated to partner with customers, understand their business challenges, how they want to use data to create competitive edge - and an obsession to make customers successful - are essential ingredients to be successful in this role
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and with cross-functional and regionally distributed teams.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate business opportunities, requirements, and customer problems.
• Be a good listener, humble, and with strong results orientation. Works across team boundaries to create success for customer and the company
• Experience within a product company is desired.

• Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with the ambiguity of V1 and incubation work.
• Using a startup mentality to discover and utilize technologies to rapidly bring the project to life.
• Aid in attracting and growing an emerging and talented team to create business value.
