Job Description

The mortgages team is at the forefront of change to digitise customer journeys, helping consumers fulfil their dreams more quickly and easily than ever. You will be working with lenders, fintechs and digital marketplaces to create industry disrupting solutions in one of the biggest financial services markets.

The Junior Data Analyst will have strong numerical skills, being able to look at large volumes of data and complex logical and mathematical requirements from clients, interpret these and implement the changes in our own solution. They will be support the delivery pipeline within the Marketplace Mortgages team, ensuring that BAU and new Product Features are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret complex logical requirements from lenders to implement their credit policies on Experian’s eligibility solutions, build models predicting scoring outcomes and define test packs to ensure solutions are working as expected
• Monitor solution performance and produce reporting on this for internal and external stakeholders
• Carry out changes in SQL based solutions and review technical changes made by team mates
• Work directly with lenders, price comparison websites and brokerages to gain insight on how they work, and where Experian can provide value
• Be part of a culture that achieves business goals, delights customers and acts in a manner conducive to the fair and reasonable treatment of all consumers, irrespective of whether these are Experian UK clients and consumers or not
• Work according to Agile methodologies
  

Qualifications

• A degree in a STEM subject with strong numerical skills
• A background in analytics – at least 1 year working as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst
  

Experience

• Working with clients, development teams and other internal stakeholders to deliver software solutions
  

Required Technical Skills/Knowledge

• 1+ years of working on SQL based databases
• Ability to run complex analysis, pulling data from multiple different tables, joining and manipulating it to extract insights
• Experience inserting, deleting and updating data within SQL databases
• Experience using Excel for data manipulation and presentation
  

Beneficial Skills/Knowledge

• Experience working with stored procedures within SQL Databases
• Experience in the credit industry
• A degree in a STEM subject
• Experience with agile ways of working
