BI Developer– Python and R

The team

This role is part of the Business Systems team which is part of the Government & Public sector. The team is responsible for designing and driving different solutions for different teams at different levels. With a focus on innovation, we continuously seek ways to enhance and optimize existing deliverables and create new solutions.The team is uniquely positioned in practice to identify and implement next-generation solutions. Professionals in this process are responsible for assessment, design, development, testing,enhancement, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and support of new or existing tools and applications. The team drives the implementation of end-to-end solutions and analysis that provide our clients and leadership with the consumable information and insight they need to drive better business decisions, and address challenges.

Work you’ll do

• Demonstrate ability to creatively employ new research tools to analyze data and derive unique findings for publications the Eminence team develops
• Communicate research findings using compelling visualizations and well written reports. Design and build data visualizations using diverse sets of structured and unstructured data. Write engaging synopsis to inform methodology, assumptions, and conclusions of the analysis
• Lead development of research reports that are created using credible qualitative and quantitative methodologies and based on key insights and findings from the studies. Liaise with the U.S. colleagues to understand, refine, and manage clients’ expectations and priorities
• Propose creative analytics ideas and encourage fellow team members to explore advanced analytic techniques, such as predictive analytics, data mining, text mining, and/or sentiment analysis. To pursue new ideas – design research proposal, build consensus, and formulate research plan.
• Strong foundation in modeling, statistics, analytics, mathematics and Computer Sciences. Ability to understand data structures using computer programs/algorithms, explain complex data architectures to prepare data for analysis, and make sense out of data
• Strong business acumen to understand context of the research situation and identify data analytics opportunities to differentiate analysis. Guide analytics process by framing hypotheses and stating research problem to accurately reflect the research situation
• Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to better understand trends and relationships between variables to inform predictive insights
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Sound understanding of machine learning, data mining and statistical modeling, and extensive experience applying these methods to real world problems.
• Implementation of security and data protection Integration of data storage solutions
• Work on Python libraries, including Matplotlib, NumPy, Pandas, etc.
• Experience in the development of database objects including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
• Establishing data management standards, procedures, and best practices while data cleansing, data wrangling, and data mapping
• Ability to quickly understand the needs and create quick solutions and become comfortable in communicating to stakeholders
• Independently design, develop, test, and implement simple to complex automation solutions per business requirements.
• Contribute across dierent stages of deep learning model development including data collection, data cleaning, model development, validation and deployment.
• Contribute in developing models in areas like supervised and semi-supervised learning.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of Experience with Python,R,SQL, and other data science related technologies
• Ability to explore, identify and use appropriate Python libraries (e.g. pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, regex, NLTK, SciPy, Plotly etc.)
• Conceptual understanding of Machine Learning/ Deep Learning/Natural Language Processing concepts is good to have
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to translate technical software solutions to non-technical clients
• Ability to consult and direct on clients’ needs for automation centered around business processes
• Advanced written, verbal analytical, and communications skills required
• Ability to work in a virtual team environment
• Familiarity with agile project methodology
• Familiarity with systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
  

Key Skills

• Proficient in Python, R, AI and ML concepts.
• Strong Familiarity with SQL and other database tools to store, organize, retrieve, and manage data
• Exposure to business Visualization tool like Tableau, Power BI is an added advantage not mandatory.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum
