Responsibilities

• Databases management :
• Supervise the integration process from Nielsen DB deliveries to PepView and finally correct integration into PPD platform.
• Communicate weekly updates on DB situations
• Bring clarity to the whole BI CoE and BI Lead on any quality issues
• Conduct monthly / Quarterly Coverage analysis on all categories all countries on Nielsen and Kantar/GFK panels
• Partner with local BU Analytics teams and Global teams to issue the Monthly / Quarterly coverage reports
• Communicate status to the key EU stakeholders
• Identify quality issues and craft / track plans to course correct quality issues partnering with local teams on specific issues
• Lead the investigation to upgrade the Channels coverage issues we might have and partner with EU BI Coe Lead to upgrade channels poorly covered such as Discounters, AFH, TT…
• Be the point of contact for any PPD users on all questions related to PPD
• Codify any reccurent Q&A and create a documentation out of all issues encountered by the end users and bring it to life for end users in a user friendly way to maximize end users autonomy & great UX.
• Create and maintain documentation of the Local / Global database differences
• Escalate any product codification issues within Nielsen organization, keeping local teams on board
• Manage and handle with Nielsen teams and local teams any structural changes in the databases such as : new manufacturer to integrate, new MBD available…
• Manage feasibility workstreams with Nielsen for any new markets, DB or MBD ingestion into PepView
• Influence both Nielsen and PepsiCo Global BI GBS team to ensure Europe workstreams are placed at a very high level of priority

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Degree (MBA Preferred, Statistical background preferred)
• 6+ years of experience with analytics and developing BI solutions
• Expert on “Point of Sale” (Nielsen, IRI, SPINs, One Click Retail etc.) databases/metrics a must
• Structured thinker / problem solver who works independently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent project management skills esp. with managing supporting teams
• Advanced Excel skills
• User interface design capabilities supporting high quality visual and functional experience
• Extensive development experience with visualization platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
• Programming in Python or JavaScript a plus
• Great Collaborator / Team spirit

Differentiating Competencies Required

• Developper / Data Scientist background
• Top tier business intelligence / reporting / visualization skills
• Complete understanding of BI reporting platforms
• Comfortable with syndicated data analytics (especially Retail Panel) and statistical modeling
• Solution-oriented approach to problem solving / Creative with “hacking” mind-set
• Ability to challenge requests in a constructive way that does not damage relationships or slow progress
• Strong analytical thinking with proven ability to connect data & to digestible representations to generate insights
