The Position

Overall Job Purpose

As a Senior Data Scientist you will be responsible for delivering high quality outcomes by applying the right fit-for purpose models in collaboration with other stakeholders and team members within the same business line. RSS is a global division with regional presence in Switzerland, India, Hungary, Costa Rica and Malaysia. What You’ll Be Working On

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be expected to

• Partner with colleagues, peers and stakeholders globally, and work on initiatives and projects in different regions and time zones.
• Apply specific fit-for-purpose methods and implement analytics and processing algorithms
• Onboard data into various AWS environments (connect with general point on data onboarding/ETL that is already in the JD)
• Work with IT and security on AWS environment set-up and security restrictions / permissions models
• Operationalize models leveraging AWS micro services and support the team in setting up optimal architectures for their data science projects in AWS
• Implement data loads and data analysis; incl. backend development in SQL.
• Create and manage a glossary for data and analytics assets in line with our organization’s data and analytics governance.
• Collaborate in an agile and cross-functional team with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers as well as business experts.
• Perform demos, project reviews, and retrospectives; communicates ideas for team continuous improvement and willingly receives feedback for self-improvement
• Participate in exploratory projects to evaluate new technologies and establish new services

• Education: Bachelor Degree (Masters is a plus) ideally in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or information science.
• 5-7 years of experience with AWS
• Set-up of AWS environments including security and permissions models,
• Experience with the various AWS services and components (e.g. Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon OpenSearch (Elasticsearch), AWS Lambda functions) as well as AWS connectors, e.g. to Tableau, gdrive
• Strong team player with interpersonal skills and strong collaborative and solution-focused mindset
• Shared service sector experience is a plus
• Scrum certifications (PSM, PSPO) are a plus
• English is a must, additional languages a plus
