Description

Amazon is looking for an experienced data specialist having hands on experience using Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) tools like Gensuite, SAP etc; the candidate will work closely with program to discuss the various project management activities including data analysis, identify areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs and build end-to-end reporting solutions which help leaders keep a close eye on business areas.

The candidate will also work closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis, and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways.

As a data specialist embedded in the business team the candidate will have the opportunity to participate and shape program development by employing their project management and technical skills

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Should have 4+ years of industry experience in data analysis/ reporting
• Ability to drive the data management process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects, and prioritizing tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge with MS Office tools, macros/VBA and data visualization tools like Quicksight / Tableau
• Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
• Strong Analytical skills – has ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience with data visualization and mainstream data analytics tools like python/R
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Experience with or knowledge of WHS management tools
• Experience with survey tools, creating surveys and analysis of survey results
• Hands on experience in data extraction and manipulation using SQL/ MySQL is an advantage
• Creation of visual dashboards using automation techniques
