The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Global operations team of the BL and regional HUBs in development of KPI dashboard from various sources based on business needs, providing state-of-art reporting and analytics as well as process and tool support.

Your responsibilities

• Definition, measurement and interpretation of KPIs (target achievement, trends, forecast, etc) as well as data quality KPIs.
• Implementation and continuous improvement based on various data sources
• Ensures proper release management (testing, documentation, etc.) and support process for users (training, bug fixing, requirements collections, etc. This can include FAQs, process documents and other training documentation
• Supports BU, GPG and HBU with Data Analyses
• Supports follow up and Data Analysis based on the historical data
• Preparation of dashboards for managing decisions based on historical data
• Responsible to continuously improve process performance and maintain data quality.
• Assures application of Hitachi-ABB standards and guidelines as well as leveraging industry best practices.

Your background

• Business or Engineering or Information Technology degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in Sales Operations sales strategy, business analyst, or financial analyst roles or similar roles
• Strong skills in: Advanced Excel, PowerPivot, Power Query, Salesforce.com, PowerBI, PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Good analytical and quantitative skills; ability to work with large data while maintaining high attention to detail
• Ability to understand and transform data to meet leadership needs and business contexts in a customer-friendly, quality-first manner.
