Data Scientist / Analytics Analyst

We are Metro GSC, an internal solution provider for METRO, having offices in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide IT & Business operations support to 42 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience working with Python for developing Machine Learning products.

If you choose to join us, your key responsibilities will be…

• Functional Skillsets:

               a) Candidate must be proficient in delivering Analytical Solutions in Retail/Wholesale domain.

               b) Candidate must have delivered products in the area of Marketing Analytics, Pricing Analytics and Customer Analytics.

• Technical Skills:

1. Development Expertise :

i. Proficient in using pandas for data transformation

ii. Experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning Models

iii. Exposure to Statistics/Machine Learning concepts: for assessing Data Quality, for performing EDA, Hypothesis testing, Univariate/Multivariate Analysis, Classification/PCA, Factor analysis, Linear Modelling, Affinity analysis, Timeseries, Decision Trees, Sentiment Analysis, Clustering

2. Business Intelligence (BI) :

i. Project delivery experience in any BI solutions like MicroStrategy, PowerBI, GDS, etc.

ii. Experience in design wireframes and dashboards that address relevant business problems – Managerial as well as Operational.

iii. Strong story-telling skills using Data.

3. Good to have :

i. Experience working with Code repos like Git hub

ii. Developing MLOps pipelines for easy scalability of projects

iii. Exposure to Agile working concepts

iv. Experience in Google Data bricks, Alteryx, etc.

• 2+ Years of Experience,
• Preferred Experience in Retail/CPG/E-commerce/FMCG.
• The candidate must have strong communication skills to explain complex Business Logic with clarity.
• Ability to think and speak strategically, provide recommendations internally as well as externally.
• Candidate will be expected to provide feedback and validate solution designs for projects.
• Ability to mentor a team of budding Machine Learning Engineers
• Advanced university degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering
