The Role: The Commodities & Energy team is looking for Business Analyst to join us. We are seeking an assertive, detail-oriented self-starter who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, Agile setting. The Business Analyst will work within a cross-functional squad to support data development requests and work with the development team who fulfills these requests. As Business Analyst, you will work directly with our development and CRM/Sales teams to manage the discovery, analysis and documentation of requirements for a portfolio of data requests and projects. This position is based in our Mumbai office.

Responsibilities:

• Understand, analyze, and evaluate all aspects of Morningstar C&E’s products and platforms; effectively complete the process of discovering, gathering and documenting detailed business specifications for projects as assigned.
• Translate development requests and user needs to stories and requirements for the development squad.
• Effectively interact with product management, client solutions/support, developers, QA, research to compile, analyze and derive business, functional and technical requirements.
• Facilitate story-writing sessions with project stakeholders to support requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Work with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize the product development backlog and timeline.
• Understand, adopt and drive Morningstar’s Agile Scrum framework.
• Foster a team dynamic that is motived to improve the customer experience and key performance indicators.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and translate high-level ideas and information into a general understanding that can be documented and understood by all team members.
• Preference given to the candidates having experience within C&E market data and domain
  
  

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least two to three of relevant experience required, with some demonstrated experience in business analysis, product management, project management, or customer service desired. Knowledge and experience with Agile software development and strong technical acumen are also desired.
• Interest in and focus on identifying and implement product/process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to lead team decision-making processes and foster an environment of success.
• Excellent oral and written communication, technical, planning, and analytical skills. English Proficiency
• Self-directed and detail-oriented.
