Job Purpose

ICE Data Services is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Pricing and Reference Data team. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional groups (Development, QA, Product Management, and Quantitative) to elicit requirements on projects related to systems that produce data for Fixed Income Products. The Senior Business Analyst works with product managers and developers to detail enhancements within time constraints. Further, the Senior Business Analyst provides documentation and testing on projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for business processes from users.
Capture and document current business workflow and recommend improvements and efficiencies.
Work individually and within a team setting to deliver requirements on time and within scope.
Present approved requirements to Business, Development and Quality Assurance in walkthrough meetings.
Serve as a subject matter expect for development regarding Fixed Income Products and understanding of financial securities that relate to those products.
Formulate and develop reports (Excel, SQL) that expedite requirement analysis or testing of large and complex projects.
Production support to troubleshoot issues and answer user questions.
Understand the business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and help recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Formulate testing strategies and assist users and developers in testing of key deliverables.

Required

Knowledge and Experience

10+ years experience as a Business Analyst leveraging formal Business Analysis methods (particularly Use Cases) to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements.
5+ years working knowledge of SQL, Excel functions.
A advanced quantitative or technical degree.
Strong communication skills.
Energetic, motivated, with a strong work ethic, willing to take on challenging tasks.
Takes ownership and able to guide issues and project work from creation to resolution.
Strong analytical skills
Basic understanding of fixed income securities and rate products.
General technical background required (understanding of principals and key practices in the areas of application programming, database and system design).
Experience with fixed income, equity or credit derivative pricing and market data is a plus.

Preferred

Working knowledge of JSON/XML data structures, RESTful APIs or VBA development is a plus.
Familiarity with buy-side or sell-side compliance, risk management, operational or trading processes is a plus.
